Wishing You a Merry Christmas
Wishing You a Merry Christmas
Artist: Dave Grantier
Release: December, 2005

A mix of perennial Christmas favorites with unusual and fun twists. Including, It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas, We Need a Little Christmas, and more.

The songs I’ve chosen for this year’s CD are some of those that make me smile inside. For example, I can’t hear We Need a Little Christmas without thinking Roll Out the Barrel, and Mary’s Little Boy Child makes me think of the words to the theme from Gilligan’s Island. Simple Gifts makes me think of - I won't tell you - listen to the CD and see if you can spot it. I don’t know why, but I’ve always been fond of finding tunes and lyrics ‘hidden’ in completely unexpected places - kind of like finding an Easter egg. Speaking of Easter eggs, there are other Easter eggs scattered about in the songs on this disc - listen to see if you can find them . Some are easy to spot, others not so much. Clues are hidden in the album art of the CD itself. Nearly every aspect of the cover art relates in some way to one or more songs on this disc - or to the Easter eggs hidden there-in. Think of it as a big musical Where’s Waldo as you link artifacts from the cover with songs on the CD. When you’ve given up, look here for help and hints.
